About this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the DEForce Racing LLC staff SMS program. It describes the use of information collected for operational staff text messages, not all information stored in the racing team portal.
Information we collect and how we use it
We collect the mobile phone number you provide, your linked team account information, your SMS preference, and records of consent including the time, source and disclosure shown. For messages that are sent, we also keep notification attempts, provider message identifiers, delivery information and replies received.
We use this information to manage your SMS preferences and send operational staff communications about events, staffing assignments, itinerary links, travel and hotel changes, and confirmation requests. We also use it to process opt-outs, investigate delivery problems and maintain consent records. These messages are not marketing.
No sale or marketing sharing
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with affiliates or third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers, including Twilio and telecommunications carriers, process information needed to operate and deliver the messaging service; this operational processing is not permission to use your data for marketing.
Your choices
SMS enrollment is voluntary. Creating a team account, adding a phone number or receiving an event assignment does not by itself enroll you. Approved team members opt in by selecting the separate SMS consent checkbox and saving My SMS preferences in the portal.
You can withdraw consent in My SMS preferences or reply STOP to a program message. An opt-out ends program texts to that number; it does not cancel your event assignment or change your attendance. For help, reply HELP or contact the team using the email below.
If you replace your mobile number in the portal, consent for the old number does not automatically authorize messages to the replacement number. Review and save consent for your current number.
Access and retention
Authorized team administrators and operational service providers may access information needed to manage the program. Event itinerary links require sign-in; public policy and sample opt-in pages do not expose real member records.
Consent and messaging records are retained as needed to operate the program, respect opt-outs, resolve delivery issues and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact the team to request access, correction or deletion; records needed to maintain an opt-out or satisfy applicable obligations may need to be retained.
